About This Activity

The "Gneiss"est Race You'll Run All Year!* Both races are out-and-back courses in the city of Morton that start at the Brent Koch Memorial Shelter in the Morton City Park. The 4-Mile Run will get your heart pumping as the course climbs the valley hill twice! The 2-Mile Fun Run/Walk is a kinder and gentler race that follows city streets around Morton with only minor inclines. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to participate in this event meant to promote community pride and physical fitness for all! *The granite found in the Morton area, Gneiss (pronounced "Nice"), is among the oldest rocks in the world--dated to 3.6 billion years. Race held rain or shine, heat or humidity.
