About This Activity

The Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo’s Hunger Walk + 5k takes place on Saturday, October 15, 2016 in beautiful Morro Bay, CA. The route starts at Coleman Park and continues along the beach, looping and ending back at Coleman Park. Join us for a post- race celebration where food and beverages will be provided as you listen to the Mighty Croon Dogs and enjoy family-friendly activities such as horseshoes, bocce ball, face painting, photobooth and more!

The Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo invites the public to join them in ending hunger one step at time. Register now to ensure your spot!

Event Schedule

8AM: Check in at Coleman Park to receive your t-shirt and course map.

8:30AM: Let the race begin!

9:30-11AM: Stick around and join us for a post-race celebration.

 

Course Info

The route starts at Coleman Park and continues along the beach, looping and ending back at Coleman Park. Don’t want to go the entire course? No problem! Feel free to run, walk or meander at your own pace as far as you like.

Arrival Info

Please arrive at Coleman Park at 8am for check-in. During Check-in, participants will receive their event t-shirt as well as a course map.

Parking Info

There will be plenty of parking along Coleman Drive in the large lot beneath Morro Rock. Parking is first come first serve. Pubic parking is also available on the street along the embarcadero.

Waivers

A waiver has been included with your race registration. Please remember to take caution while running or walking and always be aware of your surroundings.

What to Bring

Water will be provided before, during and after the race, but feel free to bring your own water bottle. Also, don’t forget the sunscreen; the sun can be strong even in the morning!

What to Wear

Make sure to wear something you can be active in. We also suggest bringing a hat for sun protection and of course make sure to arrive in your running shoes! Teams and individuals are also welcome to dress up in fun, creative costumes.
