About This Activity

Come one! Come all! Come kickoff your Mardi Gras season with the Order of Polka Dots Room C9 as we host our Second Annual Caryn's Kids/Run with a Dot 5K/Skate/1 Mile Fun Run benefitting the Caryn's Kids Scholarship Fund created last year in Caryn Hyatt-Suthoff's memory. Grab your family and friends for fitness, food, fun, and Mardi Gras festivities! Wear your favorite Mardi Gras attire and dress up your strollers/wagons for a chance to win some fantastic awards!

Race Day Registration 7:00AM, 5K starts at 8:00AM, Skate and 1 Mile Fun Run Start at 9:15AM

Location: Race start and parking will be available at the South Alabama Intramural Fields.

T-shirts: If registered by January 2, t-shirts are guaranteed on race day Additional t-shirts can be purchased for $15. A no t-shirt option is available for race participants (subtract $3 from registration fee).

Awards: Both male and female agegroup winners for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will be given. Most creative and beautiful costumes and wagons awards will also be given to fun run participants.

Categories: Mini-masker- ages 0-18, Mystical Maskers- ages 19-30, Magical Maskers- ages 30-49, Majestic Maskers - ages 50-69, Magnificent Maskers- ages 70+

Post-race Party activities: Cookout, refreshments, music, and awards ceremony. Wear a costume to the fun run and decorate a wagon/stroller. Awards will be given for most creative and beautiful of both. Door prizes will also be given to participants.
