The Milpitas Children’s Theatre Alliance (MCT Alliance) is pleased to announce that it is hosting it's second annual 5k run/walk on Sunday June 1st in order to support the Center Stage Performing Arts program (formerly known as Rainbow Theatre). The theatre program is a community program that has been around for more than 30 years and serves children from ages 8 through college age young adults. Due to budget cuts at both the State and City levels, the theatre program is now running strictly by donations and by portions of ticket sales. Our goal by putting on this event is that we can raise enough money to keep our theatre open. We are actively seeking partner organizations that can serve as event sponsors.
Please consider being a sponsor and partnering in an effort to save our Children’s Theatre. The program instills self-esteem and confidence in our community’s youth while offering a safe, encouraging environment where kids learn skills they need to be successful adults. There is no other program like this in Milpitas.
With this letter, we’ve included information regarding Sponsorship Commitment/Pledge Form. The Theatre is committed to actively promoting every sponsor who will help make this a much anticipated event. All proceeds from the 5k will benefit the theatre program.
If you have any questions about the 5k walk/run or the available sponsorship opportunities, please don’t hesitate to contact us. The MCT Alliance is partnering with the City of Milpitas and a "not for profit" number will be given upon request. The MCT Alliance looks forward to your help in promoting healthy, active living and sponsoring a fun, positive event for our entire community. Thank you for the gift of support and sponsorship.
Please Sponsor/Donate/Volunteer or Participate.

Event schedule and times
This event will feature a 5k run/walk beginning at Gill Park, along the Berryessa Creek trail, continuing thru Milpitas neighborhoods and ending back at Gill Park. Following the race we will have t-shirts for all event participants. This event will hopefully attract a good number of children and adult participants.
