About This Activity

Join us Historical Downtown Millersburg on September 12, 2015 for the Amish Country Challenge, an organized bike ride including 25/60/100 mile routes touring the scenic countryside of Holmes County. Enjoy long stretches through Amish country of winding roads, beautiful valleys and rolling hills. Aid stations and lunch provided for the 60 and 100 mile routes and all participants are invited to a post ride Amish meal. Limited to 500 riders. Proceeds benefit Historic Downtown Millersburg and the Holmes County Park District.

Event details and schedule

Registration & Ride Start Times: Registration for the century and metric centruy rides is scheduled for 7:00-8:00 AM at the Millersburg Depot.  Registration for 25 mile ride will be held open untill 11:00 AM.

Break Stations/Lunch/After Ride Meal: 60- & 100-mile rides

Break Station #1: 8:00-11:00

Lunch Station: 10:00 2:00

Break Station #2: 11:30 3:30

After Ride Meal: 1:30 5:30

Several things to help you prepare for the ride:

• The Amish Country Challenge is a rain or shine event, dress accordingly.

• All riders must wear a helmet.

• You must have a bike in good working order including good tires and brakes, as there are some long down hills.

• We do not recommend beach cruisers or recreational single speeds on the century or metric century ride; Holmes County does have its hills.

• We recommend that you bring a spare tube and a pump or CO2, especially if you have an odd wheel size as sag service will only have a limited number of common size tubes.

• Please bring water bottles to be able to carry enough water between aid stations which will be spaced approximately 25 miles apart.

Thanks and we look forward to seeing you Saturday, September 12th!
