Fast & Furriest 5K Run/Walk

October 10, 2020 at Midland City Forest, Midland

7am -8:30am Race day registration and pre-registered participant bib and bag pick up.    WE ARE EXCITED TO HAVE CHIP TIMING THIS YEAR!  All runners and walkers will have their exact time no matter when you cross the start line.

8:30 am 5k run/walk without dogs. Running without a dog and want to be individually timed?  We strongly encourage you to run in the first race. Medals for first, second and third place in male and female categories.

8:45 am 5k run/walk with dogs. Walkers, Runners, and participants with dogs or those that enjoy dogs are encouraged to join this second race. This race is a shot gun start race.   Runners who plan on running the entire course with their dogs will be asked to step forward to the start line. Others will be asked to hold back for runners. Only runners with dogs will be awarded medals for first, second, and third place in male and female categories. 

Run Fur Fun! This event is a 5k Trail Run/Walk.

Runners and walkers are encouraged to bring their canine companions and celebrate the special human-animal bond!  Runners and walkers without dogs are also encouraged to come participate in the fun! Children 6 and under can run/walk for FREE!

Long sleeve event t-shirts, a new design doggie bandana and other goodies for the runners/walkers will be guaranteed to those who register by April 15.  We will also have our orange bandanas available for purchase with your entry.  You must be present to receive your awards so stick around and enjoy the post-race refreshments and festivities. 

All proceeds from this special fundraiser will directly benefit Great Lakes Bay Animal Society’s goal of providing quality care for animals in transition to their forever homes.
