About This Activity
This course is nestled in the Sierra foothills near Meadow Vista on the Sugar Pine Mountain Trail. The Sugar Pine Mountain Trail is a beautiful 6.6 miles with an immense variety of topography ranging from gently rolling hills to three steep hills. The race course has been set up to be 100% trail except the first and last 200 meters.

Event schedule and times
Course: Nestled in the Sierra foothills near Meadow Vista, the Sugar Pine Mountain Trail is an 11K challenging but scenic course. The course is 100% trail except the first and last 200 meters.
Date of Event: The race will be held on Saturday, October 11th, 2014.
Location: Sugar Pine Mountain Trail, 1100 Sugar Pine Road, Meadow Vista, CA 95722
Event Day Registration: Registration will open at 7:00 a.m.
Start Time: Race start time is 9:00 a.m.
T-Shirts: No cotton! Gender specific Sport-Tec or similar T-shirts will be available to all pre-registered Runners/Walkers. Same day registrars will be given shirts based on availability, first come first served.
Awards & Age Divisions: Awards will be presented to the top 3 overall finishers and by age division. Age Divisions for the event are: 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74
Also, male runners who complete the race in under 60 minutes, and female runners who complete it in under 70 minutes will receive a special engraved beer mug that can be filled FREE of charge at the Meadow Vista Town Oktoberfest that takes place later that day.
Elite Runner Mug Qualifiaction Handicap: Runners over 50 years in age will receive a one minute handicap for every year over 50 years in age. EG. A 54 year old female runner will qualify for an Elite RUnner Mug with a time of 1:13:59.99
An award pick up tent will be set up on race day. Awards will be available for pick up by 11:00 a.m. Those unable to pick up awards at the event may pick them up that evening at the award table set up at the Oktoberfest celebration in the heart of Meadow vista at 7:00 p.m.

Safety Rules for All Entrants: Bikes, in-line skates, trikes, scooters and pets (except seeing-eye dogs) are not permitted. The use of ipods, walkmans etc. are strongly discouraged for your safety (so that you can hear directions from announcers, volunteers, or other runners wanting to pass, etc.) Strollers and baby joggers are not permitted due to the roughness of the trail.
