About This Activity

The McLean Community Annual Happenin' in the Hamlet is hosting the 3rd Annual 5k Race for the Rescues to benefit the SPCA. The event is a road race that will begin and end at the McLean Fire Station. Walkers as well as leashed dogs are welcome to participate!

*Race participants have the option this year of receiving a race t-shirt or one free beer voucher. As part of the 3-day event "Happenin' In The Hamlet" that benefits the McLean Fire Department, Cortland Beer Company will be on site so race participants can redeem their voucher either of the 2 days prior to the race (if packet is picked up early) or after the race when the tent opens at 11 am. Race participants must be 21 years of age at time of event to receive the voucher and have valid ID present to redeem.

*We will be hosting the 2nd Annual Cutest and Adorably Ugliest Dog Contest! Contest to begin judging at 9am with a panel of judges awarding top prizes to the cutest dogs and the adorably ugliest dogs. Proceeds to benefit the McLean Fire Department that helps organize the 5k race.
