About This Activity

This is a family 5K walk and run, to be held in the name of Ryan Michael Oehl in Massapequa Park, NY on Saturday May 16th 2015. This run will fund a grant via YES Community Counseling Center, located in Massapequa, NY and create scholarships for rising seniors from Massapequa High School interested in pursuing a degree in the mental health field. The funds raised from this event will also go to benefit The YES Community Counseling Center's Early Intervention Project.

This run will also raise awarness in our community about why mental health is so important, yet vastly overlooked and undertreated. We hope this run will spark interest and act as a catalyst to change the way we talk about, define and treat those battling with metal health ...before it's too late.

Can we count on you? Join the team, join the cause and let's set the pace for mental health awareness together. Join us on Saturday May 16th, 2015 as we run for our sweet, beautiful, and kind Ryan. And - for countless others who know all too well the internal and external trials of being --or knowing someone who is-- mentally unhealthy. We can't wait to see you out there!
