About This Activity

Race will start at 0630 on Saturday, August 20 2016 

This exciting children's only triathlon will consist of 2 age divisions:  7 to 10 year olds will start with a 100-meter swim, followed by a 3-mile bike ride and finish with a 0.8 mile run.  11-14 year olds will start with a 200-meter swim, followed by a 6-mile bike ride and finish with a 1.2 mile run, ending at Hangar 101.  This race is open to the general public.

All civilans (Non DoD) MUST register ten days prior to the race, by August 10 at 11:59 p.m.

Packet Pick-up: Packet pickup for civilians, DoD employees, Active Duty and Retirees will be held at the Front Gate pass house of MCBH on Thursday, August 18 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm and for DoD employees, Active Duty and Retirees at the Semper Fit Center, Friday, August 19 from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Packets may also be picked up the morning of the race beginning at 5:00am. All civilian participants will receive a special event pass.

T-Shirts: Shirts are not guaranteed if you register after August 13, 2016.

Entry Fees: Individual: $25.00

Late Fees: After August 13, 2016 additional $10.00

Check in and Safety Inspections: Check-in begins at 0500 at the Hangar 101 pad. The safety brief will take place at 0615. Helmets must be worn at all times while on the bikes. Bike inspections will be available prior to the race.

Swim portion: The swim portion will take place in open water in Kaneohe Bay. It is highly encouraged that all children are comfortable swimming in open water on their own. There will be numerous lifeguards along the course to assist as needed. The water will be deep and children will not be able to touch bottom in all areas.

Awards:  Each child participant will receive a participation award.
