About This Activity

The Cobb Superhero 5k Run is a community-lefted event hosted by Sprayberry High School's Arch Leadership class, with assistance from The Tortise and The Hare Running Co., with the goal of raising money for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. The event will offer fun for all ages, a chance to spend time with family and friends, and an opportunity to join the fight against cancer.

Course Info:

The race will begin in the back parking lot of Sprayberry High School. Runners will exit the parking lot and head down Piedmont Road towards the intersection with Sandy Plains Road. At the intersection, the runners will take a right onto Sandy Plains Road and continue down the road until they take a right onto Newton Road. Runners will run down Newton Road until taking a right onto Renny Ct., then a quick left onto Aleta Drive. Runners will then take a right down Bob Bettis Road until taking a left onto Rex Drive and continuing down until taking a left onto Trent Drive. They will then take a right back onto Bob Bettis Road and follow this until turning right onto Sonya Drive. Runners will take a left onto Lorrie Drive and continue until taking a left onto Rex Drive, which will turn into Shaw Road. Runners will next take a right onto Piedmont Road and continue down Piedmont Road until taking a right back into the school's back parking lot, where the finish line awaits.

Arrival Info:

Runners will arrive in the back parking lot of Sprayberry High School to register from 7:00am to 8:00am. The Race will begin at approximately 8:15am.

Parking Info:

Parking will be available in the school's back parking lot where registration and the start/finish lines are located up until 7:45am. After 7:45am, additional parking will be available across the street in the LA Fitness shopping left. Parking at the school will resume after the race has been completed at approximately 10:00am.

Waivers and ID:

Waivers must be completed online or handed in physically at registration in order to participate. Please be prepared to show ID if necessary to claim your registration.

What to Bring:

Bring running shoes, a superhero costume, ID, additional money to spend on vendors and sponsors, and your best effort!

What to Wear:

Wear running shoes and the most creative or best looking superhero outfit you can find!

Additional Info:

All proceeds from the race will go to benefit cancer research through the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event. Be someone's superhero in the fight against cancer. Show your superhero spirit as there will be a best costume contest in addition to the awards for race times. The race will be officially timed and scored. Tell your friends and family and make an impact for good!
