Sound Runner Madison Turkey Trot

About This Activity
The Madison Jaycees will host our 36th annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day featuring a 5-mile road race and a 2-mile family fitness walk. Our race has become a Thanksgiving Day tradition for over 4,000 participants making it one of CT’s largest races. The flat, fast course through Hammonasset Beach State Park features picturesque views of sand dunes, salt marshes and Long Island Sound.
NEW THIS YEAR: The run and walk will once again begin and end in the West Beach area of Hammonasset. Please note that the 5-mile course has been modified this year to better accommodate our large field of runners. The course will no longer include a double loop in West Beach, making it possible for runners to spread out and see more of the beautiful state park. Runners will start in the same area of West Beach as in previous years, then will run out to Meigs Point, turn and continue back to the gate house area near Route 1 and then on to West Beach for the finish. A map of the new route can be found at www.madisonjc.com
With ample parking, a huge volunteer crew and integrated B-Tag timing for the quickest and most accurate results, our race is well-organized and friendly. The success of this event has allowed the Jaycees to donate over $500,000 to local charities all along the Shoreline. Long sleeve t-shirts are guaranteed to the first 2,500 pre-registered runners and walkers. Participants will also enjoy a great post race party and refreshments. Separate run and walk courses, Certified Course and B-Tag timing. Register today!
Packet pick-up will be held this year at 36 Wall Street in Madison (formerly the Bay Window) on Tuesday Nov. 25th and Wednesday Nov. 26th from 10am-5pm. Stop by and pick up your race bib, timing device and t shirt and avoid the lines on race day! Packets may also be picked up the morning of the race.
