About This Activity

Run, Bike or Ski!

75 miles across the frozen waters of Green Bay or 20 miles along the eastern shore.  Welcome to the Second Annual Ice Bowl Ultra!

The first ever winter race crossing the bay of Green Bay, the 20 or 75 mile distance events will surely test even the hardiest of souls.

The Ice Bowl Ultra aims to create a unique and unparalleled winter experience for ultra athletes who wish to have an adventure of a lifetime.  The race is a largely self-supported and non-stop traverse of the bay.  Test your grit.  It will be cold, it will be epic.

Event details and schedule

Dead Zone 20

  • Start time is 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 14.  You must park in the Lipsky's parking lot in Dyckesville and take the shuttle to the start (Little Sturgeon Bay).  There is no transportation back to the start line at the finish.
  • Monitor the race website for updates on course conditions, mandatory gear and other important race weekend details.

Dead Zone Ommegang 75

  • Start time is 5:00 AM on Saturday, February 14.  Athletes have 31 hours to complete the course (all participants must finish by 12:00 PM on Sunday).
  • This course is very, very challenging and you are required to have experience to suggest that you are fully capable of safely completing the event (i.e. - there is no "shuttle system" to get you off the ice if you're cold, tired or suffering).  These qualifications include previous completions of the Tuscobia 75 or any 75 mile (or more) race in the last two years.  If you are unsure if you have the necessary qualifications or wish to have a discussion, please e-mail us at:  leavenotraceracing@gmail.com
