Sage Lake Firecracker 5k
Firecracker 5k KIDS (12 and younger)
Zero K: Support the fireworks, get the same shirt and watch all the fun
About This Activity
Welcome to the third annual Sage Lake Firecracker 5k!
This 3.1-mile fun run/walk benefits the lake's Fourth of July fireworks display, which - as you all know - is one of the biggest and best in northern Michigan.
We're excited to see you at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, at the intersection of Maple and Kenyon roads (same location as last year). The race will begin and end right on Maple again and parking is across the street for your convenience.
Thanks to the Sage Lake community's generous support in the first two years of this race, we are able to invest in a sound system in 2016. That means we'll ditch the bad bullhorn and step things up a notch with some really fun music and quality audio for announcements. We also are adding water stations along the route.
We will again have a great raffle for participants and good things to eat and drink after you cross the finish line.
Participants will receive a race bib, a T-shirt and a Sage Lake 5k participation medal.
If you don't want to run or walk but would love to be with us on race day and support the fireworks, register for the Zero K and you will receive the Sage Lake Firecracker 5K race shirt, just like everyone else.
Parking is somewhat limited. Please carpool with your friends and neighbors, if you are able. We loved that so many people drove four wheelers to the race last year.
Thank you again for supporting this event and the fireworks. We can't wait to see you on July 2 for another beautiful, fun morning right on the lake. We would not be mad if you share this link on social media to help us promote the event. :)
Participants who register after June 3 are not guaranteed a T-shirt. Online registration closes on June 29.
Race day registration:$30 (cash or check only); shirt size and availability cannot be guaranteed.
