About This Activity
As a preferred vendor of Family Scholar over the last few years providing infrastructure services for the FSH campuses, Indatus has developed an extended relationship with the wonderful folks at FSH and felt compelled to help raise money on their behalf in the form of a 5k race. We hope to bring a larger awareness to this worthy cause and that everyone can find a warm place in their heart to come join us. Family Scholar House (FSH) is a non-profit organization dedicated to ending the cycle of poverty and transform our community by empowering families and youth to succeed in education and achieve life-long self-sufficiency. Our goal is to address and eliminate the barriers that disadvantaged families face in realizing their educational goals. FSH promotes post-secondary education and career-track employment through a full continuum of care that includes supportive housing, academic advising, counseling, peer support, family programs, and support for childcare, transportation, and basic needs. Success stories abound! In 2013, FSH served 2,261 low-income single parents with 3,352 children and 227 babies on the way. These services were provided on our four campuses and three outreach locations by 11 staff and 1,287 volunteers. To learn more visit our website at www.FamilyScholarHouse.org or find us on Facebook. All proceeds will be used for the Family Nutrition and Wellness program at FSH.
