About This Activity
Join the Town of Longmeadow for its 3rd Annual Longmeadow Wounded Warrior 5k Run/Walk! With a course that follows quiet back roads and has plenty of food, prizes, and music afterward, this event is sure to be a good time for you and the family! Your support will help to raise awareness and funds for three veterans' charities! This year we are donating all proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project, Honor Flight New England, and Homeward Vets. The Wounded Warrior Project is a charity and veterans service organization that offers a variety of programs, service and events for wounded veterans of the military actions following the events of September 11, 2001. Honor Flight New England sends veterans of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, to Washington D.C. to see the memorials built in their honor at no cost to the veteran. Homeward Vets provides free home furnishings to veterans that are transitioning from homelessness. These charities serve veterans right here in our area.
As a result of an amazing first two years, participation will be limited this year, so register early to ensure a spot!
*Online registration will be cut off on November 4. You will still be able to register in person on Friday Nov 6 from 4-7pm and the morning of the race from 8:30-10am at Greenwood Center, 231 Maple Rd, Longmeadow, MA.
