About This Activity

An officer is killed in the line of duty every 61 hours. Throughout history, there have been more line of duty deaths in the State of Texas than any other state or territory. The Texas Police Chiefs Association’s Fallen Officer Fund provides monetary assistance to Texas families of fallen heroes within 24 hours following an ocer’s line of duty death.

The Fallen Officers Bike Race is a community event that takes place at The Shops of Highland Village.  Activities include a 5K run, civilian bike race, and a police team bike race. There is live music, demonstrations, raffle prizes, a silent auction, kid zone, food, and drinksthroughout the day.

The 5k is a run/walk event starting and ending at the Shops of Highland Village. It is a mostly level paved course consisting of neighborhood streets/sidewalks and the Inland Trail System.

The Bike Race course also starts and finishes at the Shops of Highland Village. It will consist of an approximate 8.5 mile leg per rider on a concrete trail system through the City of Highland Village. There will be a short distance on HV streets/street crossing. There are some hills which may be a challenge for some.
