About This Activity

The Safe Voices 2016 Walk/Run to End Domestic Violence will be held on June 4th from 9am-12pm at Bates College Campus, Lewiston.
By committing to Walk or Run with us, you are directly helping to support vital advocacy services to those affected by domestic violence. After you register as a Walk/Run Participant, you can start collecting donations/sponsors for your efforts and sharing it with your Friends and Family!!  (This year we will run registration and fundraising through the same website, instead of two separate sites).

Choose your event above and get ready for the FUN!  Enjoy our beautiful new venue, Bates College. Friendly leashed dogs welcome. Strollers welcome.

When you register, you’ll get your own fundraising page automatically that you can easily and securely accept donations online.  In addition to your personal donation website, you can also collect donations using our paper pledge form, available HERE.

COLLECTING DONATIONS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS EVENT!  All money you raise goes to support victims of domestic violence and their families.

You can share your page on Facebook, Twitter, or email the link to your friends, family and colleges.    If you collect donations via cash or check, you can bring them to the event on June 4th.  Be sure to have checks made payable to Safe Voices.  Offline donations WILL be credited to your donation total after the event.  There will be prizes for the highest individual fundraiser and highest team fundraiser!

(Note: The optional 1-mile loop (walkers only) will be a portion of this 5K route.)
Our Walk/Run is a fun and inspirational event for the whole family.   It gets bigger each year, with close to 500 people in attendance last year.  Our event was featured on News Channel 8 WMTW; we enjoyed 99.9 The Wolf, and we hosted a few local celebrities from Down East Dickering & Northwood’s Law.  Even MORE exciting things are planned for this year, including our NEW VENUE, BATES COLLEGE!
Safe Voices offers a variety of services for employers, families and individuals seeking resources to address domestic violence. With your participation, you are helping support these vital services.
Please feel free to contact Staci Beal, Race Director, at 207-795-6744 x214, or if you have any questions.
The best place for runners/walkers to park will be the big, Athletics facilities parking lot off of Russell St.
Follow signs to Athletics Facilities. It’s then a short walk to where registration/checking in will be, right next to the start line.  Refer to the 5K Map for more information.
