About This Activity
Due to forecasted inclement weather, the 2016 Calhoun's 10 Miler has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled. Consider joining KTC Staff and Volunteers on January 31 at Calhoun's on the River (400 Neyland Drive) for a 10 mile fun run on Sunday, January 31, at 9 am. 10 Miler shirts will be distributed at that time.
Registration and Entry Fee (NO TRANSFERS OR REFUNDS): Early registration is online only! KTC Members eligible for $5 discount during early and late registration. Day of race registration is $35, and will take place from 6:15 am to 7:15 am at Calhoun's at the Marina in Lenoir City. No KTC discounts or team registration at day of race registration.

Winter High Mileage Series: Looking for a winter challenge and a great way to build to the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon or Half Marathon? Participate in the KTC Winter High Mileage Series. Register for the Calhoun's 10 Miler, Strawberry Plains Half Marathon, and Whitestone 30K for only $75. Please note that registration for the series is separate from the Calhoun's 10 Miler and to register for three races, please click here. Also please note that because of the super discounted rate for the bundle, no discounts can be used for the race series. Registration for the CHKM is separate and can be completed at www.knoxvillemarathon.com. Run at least three of the four events and work one to be eligible for a High Mileage reward. Course Description and Highlights: USATF #TN95004RH. A lovely, scenic, and challenging out and back course. This course has the infamous cemetery hill that will keep you an honest runner. This is not a course for walkers. Course has a strict close time of 2 hours, 15 minutes. Course is open to traffic! Headphones are prohibited. Participants caught wearing headphones will be disqualified and removed from the results.
T-shirts: Long-sleeved. Pre-registered runners will receive shirts on race day. Late registrants as supplies last or at a later date. No t-shirt: deduct $5.
Awards: Awards ceremony to be held after the race at Calhoun's at the Marina in Lenoir City. Awards to the top 3 overall male and female. Awards to the top Masters (40+), Grandmasters (50+), and Senior Grandmasters (60+) Male and Female. Awards to the top Clydesdale (200+ lbs and male) and Athena (150+ lbs and female). Age division awards are three deep. Age divisions begin with 15-19 (no runners under 15 please), then 5 year increments to 80+. Overall winners are not eligible for age division awards. Awards are based on gun time per USATF regulations.

Grand Prix Points: 2016 Grand Prix Points awarded for both individuals and teams. Remember, participants must volunteer for at least 3 races to be eligible for awards and you must be a KTC Member.
Refreshments: A continental breakfast will be served by Calhoun's at the Marina for participants only. Bibs must be presented to enter the food line.
Race Etiquette: Due to insurance regulations; roller blades, strollers, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the courses. Headphones are prohibited and it's particularly important on this course as it is narrow and winding, participants run with traffic (vs. against traffic), and the course is open to traffic. Participants caught wearing headphones will be disqualified and removed from the results.
Weather: Averages: High 47 Low 26. Much of the course is not protected from the wind, so a blustery day could feel quite cold, yet a calm sunny day might seem balmy. Dress wisely.
