About This Activity

The Brunswick Forest 10-Miler, 10K & Connected Home 5K covers picturesque, flat and fast courses over the paved running trails, boardwalks and beautiful residential areas of the Brunswick Forest community on May 1, 2016.

The event ties in with the with several other 5 Star Race Productions (5SRP) races including the 18th annual Port City Orthopaedics Battleship Half Marathon, Battleship 10K  & Outdoor Equipped Battleship 5K presented on November 6, 2016. Go to for directions and to see a map of the neighborhood. The race site is (6) south of downtown Wilmington, NC right on highway 17, and is very near to Wrightsville Beach, Oak Island and other local beach destinatioins.

11:00 am - 12:30 pm Outdoor Equipped in downtown Wilmington

PACKETS RACE MORNING: Avialable in the Fitness Center at 6:15 am. Please pick up your packet Saturday if at all possible. Visit Outdoor Equipped on Saturday, get your packet and see the awesome selection of running shoes and top quality outdoor gear they have, or come to the Fitness Center in Brunswick Forest and check out the beautiful neighborhoods that the race course runs through.

TIMING FEATURES: You'll be able to view instantaneous individual results on a large screen or print out your individual results at the finish line. The Championship system will be used to score the race with 99.98% accuracy - the same system used by the New York Marathon.

Shirts are guaranteed if you register by April 22nd. We will order extra shirts but a shirt is not guaranteed after that date.

REGISTRATION FEATURES: You will be able to self-edit your registration and change your t-shirt size, email address etc, transfer your registration to another person or change race categories for yourself - convenient new registration options that you can access after you have entered the race. NOTE: The self-edit feature terminates on Sunday, April 27th.

PARKING: There will be some parking at Brunswick Forest's state of the art Fitness Center. Plenty of parking is available in Brunswick Villages commercial area which is a 6-minute walk from race start. Look at the course maps on the website on the "Course Info" page. Parking area is identified on the course map.

WATER STOPS: There will be water stops at mile 2,4,6, & 8 mile points with cold water and cold Gatorade at all water stops. There will be ice at the last two water stops. There will not be any food at the water stops.

RACE HOTELS: Holiday Inn Express two miles from the race site is our recommended race hotel. There will be an early breakfast bag available and a late checkout on request of 1:00 pm.
