About This Activity

The Leavenworth Bicycle Club invites bicycle riders of all ages and varied abilities to participate in their annual Buffalo Bill Century ride. The ride starts and ends in downtown Leavenworth, Kansas and passes through the unique and historic cities of Leavenworth, Lansing, Basehor, De Soto, Eudora and Tonganoxie. This is a supported ride (with great SAG stops and a post-ride meal included!) over scenic rolling country roads that span the length and breadth of beautiful Leavenworth County.

Three routes are available:

  • a short 25 mile loop suitable for beginners

  • a 60 mile route which can easily be extended to a Metric Century

  • a 100 mile Century route.

The routes are mainly on paved secondary highways. These hilly byways can be extremely challenging for cyclists. While minor repair service and emergency transport will be available, riders should ensure their bicycles are in good working order and they are fit enough to travel the distances they choose.
