About This Activity
The First Annual Battlemud Laurens County Mud Run will be the toughest two-miler but also the most fun! Begining on a Nature Trail, the course will be challenging and continue through large pipes under Anderson Drive and end back on the trails with a slip-n-slide type final obstacle! The course will include 20 challenging obstacles, many of which will be natural obstacles located on the property of the Family YMCA of Greater Laurens.
The teams are 4-person teams and must include at least one adult 18 years or older. The competitive teams aim to be the first to cross the finish line and want everyone to get out of their way! The non-competitive teams also aim to cross the finish line, but are out to have fun getting dirty! Awards will be given to the top 5 teams and the first team out will be at 9AM.
Register early, beacuse each participant will receive one free t-shirt, but the shirts are only guaranteed if you register before August 1, 2014.
Bring the kids and family along to cheer you on! A kids area with bounce houses, food and more will be open.
Proceeds from the Battlemud Laurens County Mud Run will benefit AMI Kids Piedmont, Family YMCA of Greater Laurens and Main Street Laurens in their non-profit efforts to better our community. So, gather your closest friends and family members who enjoy a little friendly competition, while getting REALLY dirty at the same time, for this exciting and challenging event!
Event details and schedule
Registration is open to 4-person teams and the early fee will be $100/4-person team. Late registration (Aug 1-Aug 16) will be $120/4-person team. Registration does include a FREE t-shirt if you register before August 1.
First teams are out and on the course at 9AM. Each team must have at least one adult 18 years or older. Remember this is a MUD RUN, so wear appropriate clothing for the event. Rinsing stations will be set up at the finish line, so you may wnat to bring a change of clothes.
You will need a picture ID at the registration/sign in tent for bib numbers.
