That’s right, do your nighttime running first! There will be a full moon that night, so let the moonlight guide you around the 1.75 mile loop throughout the night!
Teams are welcome for the 6, 12 and 24 hour runs!
6 hour and 12 hour runners have the option to start at either 6:00 pm on Saturday evening or 6:00 am Sunday the next morning…you decide if you want to run the entire time in the moonlight or the sunlight!
100 milers will have 30 hours to finish (midnight cutoff!) – pacers allowed after 50 miles.
Medals for all finishers, plus buckles for 100K finishers, 100-mile finishers and 100-mile sub-24 hour finishers.
Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall male and female individual finishers in each race.
Fun prizes for different team categories.
Long sleeve tech shirts and buffs for every participant.
One huge aid station stocked with all your favorite foods and drinks, including a variety of hot meals.
Music and entertainment all night and all day long…it will be a party!
There are many picnicking areas around the park and lake for your friends and family to enjoy a picnic, feed the ducks or even fish…while you are running around for hours!
The event will take place at the historic Floyd Lamb Park, formerly known as Tule Springs…an oasis in the desert of northwest Las Vegas. You will experience calm and peaceful surroundings as you travel the basin trail around the park. Scenic paths offer views of the Sheep Mountains and beautiful desert landscape…away from the hustle and bustle of the strip!
The course is well suited for veteran runners wanting to PR, and is also perfect for first time ultra runners.
Hotels and Lodging
There is no overnight camping allowed on Friday or Sunday night, however, runners and crews will be allowed to set-up their own personal areas and tent accommodations in the grass right next to the course at the start/finish area for overnight on Saturday night and on Sunday during the day.
Since the race starts at 6:00 pm, this will allow you to drive in from CA, AZ or UT that day, straight to the race, set up your area, complete the race and then drive home….so no hotel necessary! This is of course for you hard core ultra runners….I would want the comfort of a cushy bed directly after the event!
