Please join us for the 8th annual Michigan Remembers 9-11 Fund 5K run/walk. This event is held to remember those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, including 19 with Michigan connections, and to honor and celebrate the brave men and women across Michigan who protect and serve our communities and nation on a daily basis. This is a family (and pet) friendly event and all are encouraged to attend.
Funds raised by this event will support the programming of the Michigan Remembers 9-11 Fund. This includes sending two Michigan first-responders to New York City for an all-expense paid weekend to compete in the Stephen Siller Foundation National Tunnel to Towers 5K run/walk held at the end of September.
Other programming that the proceeds will benefit include a student remembrance essay contest, first responder recognition programs, and 9/11/01 victim remembrance efforts.
