About This Activity
The Hempfield Foundation Ride for Education is a fundraiser to for the students in the Hempfield School District. All money earned goes directly to programs that directly impact the students from K-12.
Event details and schedule
The Fourth Annual Hempfield Foundation Ride for Educationwill feature two well-marked routes:
20 miles - Beginning at Hempfield HS, the rolling course designed for beginning and intermediate riders winds through country roads in West Hempfield, Mt. Joy, and Manheim.
51 miles- This course is designed for intermediate and advanced riders. The course rides through Mt. Joy, Mount Gretna, Cornwall, and Manheim. It includes a few challenging climbs. The rest stop in Mount Gretna is second to none.
All riders must begin between 7 and 9 am and return to the high school by 1 pm. (Registration will begin at 6:45 am.) The courses feature three well-stocked rest stops where riders can receive snacks/fruit/drinks. At the conclusion of the ride, Caruso subs are provided.
All riders must wear helmets.
Tech Tops will be included for riders who register by August 26, 2016.
Plkenty of parking can be found at the corner of Mumma Drive and Kauffman Road. This is also the starting point of the ride.
