About This Activity

Pedal Harder Remedy Rides 2014 is in its 5th year of offering participants an informal chance to ride (and walk for the first time this year) beautiful, challenging, and less travelled cycling routes.  The day is in memory of Glen Lapp, who was killed while delivering medical services to the people of Afghanistan in 2010.

Glen was quite a hard-core cyclist, but a gentle soul who could travel with those of all abilities; the day reflects his character as we give you the chance at taking on a 60 mile monster ride with three steep climbs, a 25 mile rolling Amish country jaunt, or a ten mile neighborhood ride.  The climbs on the 60 mile ride are challenging and will be optional w/ cue sheets showing bypass routes.

If you'd prefer propelling yourself with two legs rather than two wheels, you'll enjoy our untimed 5K run/walk course through the leafy streets of Grandview Heights.

Registration is open to all, and you young ones 18 and under are free.  We hope all of you can join us for the afterparty as well to rejuvenate + rehydrate!  Most likely will be serving Nepali/Indian food to regroup for your trip home, whether by car, bike, or on foot. Riding/running/walking to and from event is encouraged!

All monies raised will be forwarded to refugees in Lancaster, PA who need financial assistance in pursuit of Nursing Degrees.
