About This Activity

What Is the Sand Run 5K & Family Fun Run?

The Sand Run 5K is a fun and active family oriented community event that offers all of us a great opportunity to experience the outdoors in a unique setting! Circle F Dude Ranch Camp and Lake Wales Rotary Breakfast Club will contribute the net race proceeds to scholarship funds for boys and girls to attend camp.  After the 5k race, families can join together for a kid friendly family fun run 1-mile race around Circle F Dude Ranch Camp.

The Course!

The course is an exciting and unique adventure through some of Circle F Dude Ranch Camp’s 500 acres of Florida wilderness.  Participants can choose to run or walk the 5k course that will weave them through Circle F’s scrub forest full of live oaks on trails of sugar sand.   The environment and the sand trails promises to make this run more challenging than your everyday 5k road race, yet walkable for almost any participant.

A Race for the Whole Family!

Circle F Dude Ranch Camp and the Lake Wales Breakfast Rotary Club are focused on hosting a family friendly race event where the entire family is welcomed.   In keeping with that tradition, we ask that no alcohol or illegal substance be brought to or consumed at or during our event.   We are a no-smoking facility.

Check out the race website to find out how to extend the fun of your race day with day passes that included horseback riding, rock climbing, and high ropes courses.   There is also great overnight packages.
