2017 New course - Your official time starts and stops when YOU cross the Start/Finish line!
Run or walk a family friendly flat, fast 5K (3.1 miles) through the beautiful, tree lined streets of Harding Woods in La Grange Park. Easy to spectate, USATF certified course.
For the safety of all participants, strollers are welcome to lineup behind the runners. No other wheels (bicycles, in line skates, skateboards, etc.) allowed except for wheelchairs. No dogs allowed. Race held rain or shine.
DEADLINE EXTENDED - Register by midnight, Thurs., 10/19/17, to be guaranteed a 5K tech shirt in your selected size for race day and sponsor goody bag. Late registrants will receive shirt sizes as available or shirts after event.
Registration fee includes online processing fee and electronic timing chip. No refunds.
ONLINE REGISTRATION AND PRICES END 11/1/17 AT 11:59 PM. Register after that in person (+$5) at packet pick-up (Thur. 11/2 & Fri. 11/3, 2-7 pm) or race day at SFX Joyce Hall (7:00-8:00 am - note your race start time). Cash, check (to St. Francis Xavier), or credit card accepted. No need to register for the Junior Falcon Dash, join us at the start!
Please allow 24 hours after registration for packet pick-up.
Packet pick-up 2-7 pm Thursday (11/2) and Friday (11/3) at St. Francis Xavier School., La Grange, or race day (see below). Please allow ample time to make it to the start of your race if picking up your packet on race day.
Race day packet pick-up, registration, and gear check (use whatever bag you'd like) from 7:00 am-8:00 am at St. Francis Xavier School, Joyce Hall, 145 N. Waiola Ave. (LA GRANGE) south of Ogden Ave.; race starts north of Ogden Ave. in La Grange Park (approximately 0.2 miles away). Parking available on neighborhood streets on both sides of Ogden Ave., and school lot (entrance on Waiola Ave.); no parking on course.
Top 3 overall male and female 5K finishers to cross the line (gun time) will receive a custom award created by Lively Bottle. Age group medals will be presented to the top 3 M/F 5K finishers who are not overall winners in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18, and adults (19 and over). Age group awards determined by electronic ("chip") time.
Results will be posted within 24 hours of the event at Chicago Athlete, and on this website.
