About This Activity

Welcome to the Knoxville Law Enforcement Memorial Run

Join us as we kick off Law Enforcement Week with the 7th annual Knoxville Law Enforcement Memorial Run (LEMR) 5k! The LEMR is a family friendly event for runners and walkers of all levels as well as being a fast paced course used to set a new PBs (personal bests) or PRs (personal records). Last year over 500 racers laced up their running shoes in support of this cause.

This event is the only race in Knoxville, TN, that raises awareness of Police Week which falls May 11-17, 2014. The proceeds of the LEMR will benefit the establishment of a local law enforcement memorial site in Knoxville. This race honors all Law Enforcement Officers in the Knoxville - Knox County area, along with the surrounding counties, who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty as well as those working on the frontline every day.

The race is open to everyone, not just those working in law enforcement, and is a community favorite. We challenge one and all in our area to register, participate, volunteer and cheer on in order to show their support for our local heroes. Will you answer the call?
