About This Activity
It’s a great time to enjoy Crater Lake National Park on the seat of your bike or even by foot! Crater Lake National Park will be hosting a two day vehicle-free biking and hiking event for the month of September!
Fall is a great time to visit the park for a sunny day of exploration where the weather is not too hot nor too cool. Many would say that the weather is just right for a 24 mile adventure on the East Rim. At an elevation of 6450-7050 feet, the east rim is perfect location to see all of Wizard Island, Phantom Ship, and even different groups of animals that call the park home.
The terrain of the East Rim is not flat, and there are steep grades to climb, but it’s a great way to challenge family, friends, and maybe even the select few “couch potatoes” to explore Klamath County’s Gem. Still a little wary? No worries, the park visitor left offers a bicycle guide brochure to guide visitors around the rim and different areas of the park for the greatest experience on foot or by bike.
Mark your calendars for September 19th and 26th for a grand and awe-inspiring adventure at Crater Lake National Park.
