About This Activity
Date, Time, & Place: Sunday, February 28, at 8:00 am at the Whitestone Inn on Watts Bar Lake. Directions: From I-75 South take Exit 72 south of Lenoir City. Turn right off the exit and go west 9 miles Turn right on Paint Rock Rd. just after the Hwy 322 juncture. Entrance is 4 miles on the right. From I-40W, take exit 352 and go south on Hwy 58. Go 6 miles to Hwy. 72E and turn left. Go 5 miles to Paint Rock Road and turn left and proceed 4 miles to the Inn.
Course Description and Highlights (NO REFUNDS AND NO TRANSFERS): USATF Certified. A lovely, rolling, scenic and rural course that runs through the countryside. Downhill start means uphill finish! This is a rural route and runners should be aware that there are some unleashed dogs along the course. This is NOT a walker-friendly course. The course time limit is 4 hours and will be strictly enforced. NO EXCEPTIONS. This course is open to traffic and is subject to the KTC Headphone Policy. Participants caught by a race official wearing headphones will be disqualified and removed from the results. This policy applies to any race event run on a course open to traffic.

Registration & Entry Fee: Early registration fee is $40 through February 7 for the 30K and $20 PER RUNNER for the 30K Relay. Late registration is $45 from February 8 through February 26 and $25 PER RUNNER for the 30K Relay. No t-shirt – deduct $5 anytime. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. NO EXCEPTIONS. No refunds and no transfers.
Group/Team Discounts: Save $5 per registrant if you are running with a group or team of 4 or more. Please email email@example.com for more information.
Shirts: Runners will receive a running singlet. Singlets will be gender specific.
Awards: Awards will be presented to the top 3 overall Male and Female. Awards to top Masters (40+), Grand Masters (50+) and Senior Grand Masters (60+) Male and Female. Awards to top 3 Clydesdale (200 Lbs +) and Athena (150 Lbs +). Age division awards are 3 deep starting at 15-19 (no runners under 15). Awards to the top 2 3 person relay teams in the open, women's and co-ed divisions. Awards are based on gun time and not chip time per USATF regulations.

Grand Prix Points: Individual 2016 Grand Prix Presented by Threds points awarded to 30K participants. Remember, to be eligible for Grand Prix awards, you must be a member of the KTC and you must volunteer for at least 3 events.
Post Race Celebration: Join us for a buffet brunch provided by the Whitestone Inn for participants. Friends and family may purchase additional buffet tickets for $15.
Race Etiquette: Due to insurance regulations, roller blades, strollers, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the course. The course closes in 4 hours. This is an open course with narrow winding roads and headphones are PROHIBITED. Participants caught wearing headphones will be disqualified and removed from the results.
