About This Activity

Child Abuse Prevention Services 5K Run/Walk takes place at scenic Sunken Meadow State Park during a great time of year to enjoy the park's beauty.  The run is a true cross country race on a championship course, regarded as one of the most challenging on the east coast. This race is a fitting way to bring back memories for those who have competed on the course at the high school or college level, get a tough workout in, or to simply appreciate a change from the typical road race. The walk takes place on a wide, flat boardwalk overlooking the beach and Long Island Sound. All donations benefit a registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to keeping every child safe from harm for over 30 years.

Event details and schedule

Arrive before 8 am to avoid the Park's $10 parking fee.

The cross country cross is very challenging. Only those age 14 or over should register for the run.

All ages are welcome to participate in the walk. Strollers are permitted on the course for the walk.
