​​​​​​​​Maui Bike Tour for Women: Cycling Skills Clinic

This 1-week road bike tour and skills clinic for women explores Maui's wild and wonderful north and south shores. On this bike tour, you will live and bicycle like local, exploring some of Maui's most beautiful rides while improving cycling skills and fitness.

This Maui bike tour takes you to a hidden waterfalls and beautiful beaches. It also includes an optional activities including: one-hour hike above the beach; a waterfall hike and swim; and an afternoon side tour to see Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. Each day has a "skills" focus to help improve cycling skills with a coaching session and tips.

Enjoy easier rides with lots free time to hang out on the beach, shop or just relax.

Event details and schedule

Day 1 - Sun. May 8: Warm ride - 20 miles  - We'll do a short afternoon "shake down" ride. An orientation to the clinic will be held the evening.
Day 2 - Mon., May 9: 20 miles - We will ease into the week with a ride to the end of the road at La Perouse Bay, famous for beautiful views, epic snorkeling and dolphins sightings. At the bay, there is an optional 1-hour (round trip) hike or you can take a swim in the bay.  Skills focus: Paceline and riding in a group.

Day 3 - Tues. - May 10: 18 miles - 
Volcano and Lavender Farm

This will be a more challenging day as we will drive part of the way up the volcano and ride a loop to a lavender farm. This ride features amazing views and sustained climbing. (1700 feet elevation gain in 9 miles). Skills focus: ​Sustained climbing and descending.

Day 4 - Wed. - May 11  - Enjoy your day off to hang out on the beach, shop or take an optional unguided ride.

Day 5 - Thurs. - May 12: 25 miles -
Paia and Haiku

​We will take a quick drive to the north shore and do a rolling hill ride to some hidden waterfalls. Change your shoes and explore a working farm, while taking a waterfall tour with 2-mile walk and optional waterfall swim. In the afternoon, will we will take a side trip to the beach to see sea turtles. Skills focus: cornering, ascending and descending.

Fri. May 13: 20 miles - Coffee to Wine

After a short drive above Kihei, we will have a relaxing and scenic ride in the Ulupalakua area starting with a coffee and finishing with a trip to the only winery on Maui, Ulupalakua Vineyards.  Skills focus: Rolling hills.
