About This Activity

The 4th Annual Beat Beethoven 5K Run and 1K Walk takes place this year in Anson B. Nixon Park in beautiful Kennett Square, PA.  Try to complete the 5K in less time than the playing of Beethoven's 5th Symphony (DAH, DAH, DAH, DAAAAHHHHH.........).  You may even catch a glimpse of musicians in the woods and see Beethoven himself !!  (Did you know he was a runner???)  Bibtag timing will be used.  Timing by Chester County Running Store.

The 1K Walk will have some surprises as you wind around the lake in the park

Prizes for Top Male/Female; Top in age categories: Top 2 Walkers

Some pre-race "things to do and see" and some post race cool down snacks make this a fun family event as you enjoy all the things that the park has to offer.  Following the Run, take a short walk into Kennett Square to State Street which will be closed from Broad to Center Streets so visitors can enjoy outdoor dining, extended shopping hours, live music, strolling entertainers and children’s activities on Kennett Square's "THIRD THURSDAY" Event.
