About This Activity

The Pilgrim 5K Run/Walk and Children's Dash will be held on Thanksgiving morning.   The course is in beautiful, historic Hyde Park in Mid-town Kansas City, MO.  This is the fourth year for the Pilgrim Run.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Children's Programs of the Pigrim Center.

On-Line Registration:

On-line registration will close at 11:59 PM CST on   Tuesday, November 25, 2014

Individual Entry Fee for 5K Run or Walk:

$25 through November 14, $30 November 15-26, $35 on Race   Day

In-person Registration:

Applicants can register during packet pickup at the Pilgrim   Chapel Wednesday, November 26 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Thursday, November 27   from 7:30 to 8:45 AM.

Mail-In Registration:

While On-Line Registration is encouraged, mail in forms   can be found at www.pilgrimrun.org and on the back of the Pilgrim Run rack   card.

Team/Family Discounts:

2 or 3 person teams will receive a 5 percent discount per   person and 4 or more person teams will receive a 10 percent discount per   person. Discounts will be given during the registration process.


Thanksgiving Day-themed costumes are encouraged.  There will be tasty awards for the best   costumes.

Timing Chips:

All 5K participants will receive a timing chip in their   race packets.

Children's Pilgrim Dash:

Entry Fee is $12 per child. The dash will be run in three   heats. The under 4 year olds and the 5-6 year olds will run 100 yards. The   7-8 year olds will run 200 yards. The Dash heats will start about 10:15 AM.   All Dashers will receive a long sleeve T-Shirt.

Guarantee Date for T-shirts:

T-shirts will be not guaranteed for 5K or Dash applicants   if registration is after November 19.

Dogs and Strollers:

Dogs will not be allowed at this event. Strollers will not   be allowed in the 5K Run, but can be used in the 5K Walk.


Runners, Walkers, and Volunteers can park in the Notre   Dame de Sion parking lot. Access is from Locust St. in the 3800 block. Be aware   that access will be closed at 8:45 am and cars will not be allowed to leave   until about 9:30 am since the lot is inside the race course. Parking is also   available in the parking structure just south of Armour Blvd between Gillham Rd. and McGee St.  Access will be from both Gillham Rd and McGee St.


                                                                      There will be awards for the overall male   and female winner and for the male and female Master's winners.  There will also be medals for first,   second, and third place for male and female age divisions.
