About This Activity

The Pioneer Run features a 5K run and a two-mile walk at English Landing Park in Parkville, Mo.  The event also includes a raffle and prizes. The Pioneer Run will benefit Northland Early Education Center's early intervention and education services for children age’s birth to five who have special needs, as well as children who have typical needs in a fully inclusive classroom environment in the Kansas City Northland. 

Prizes will be awarded to the overall male and female first, second and third place winners in the 5K run and also the overall first, second and third place winners in the 5K run for children 13-years-old and younger.  The team with the most participants will also receive an award.

Event schedule and times

Packet pick-up is Friday, May 30 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Running Well Store, located at 6106 Barry Board (Boardwalk Square by Hobby Lobby) in Kansas City, Mo.

Registration on event day opens at 8:30 a.m.  The 5K Run starts at 9:00 a.m. and the 2-Mile Walk will get started at 9:15 a.m.  Following the event there will be a pancake breakfast, including fruit and beverages.
