About This Activity
The course consists of a 1.5K swim in Mauch Chunk Lake, a challenging 40K partially-closed bike course through small anthracite coal region towns and a 10K run on the historic Switchback Trail.

Sunday, July 20th 2014 5:30AM 6:30AMPacket pick-up at Mauch Chunk Lake Park 5:45AM Transition area opens at Mauch Chunk Lake Park. Athletes must place all gear in transition area for both safety and security. 6:45AM Transition area closed 6:55AM National Anthem 7:00AM Age group race starts. Each wave will be 5 minutes apart. Wave assignments will be given at check-in. Swim course closes 1 hour after last wave start. 10:00AM Bike course closes **park road open to traffic** 11:30PM Run course closes~ 11:30PM Awards ceremony and raffle at the Koch/Wildoner Pavilion, Mauch Chunk Lake Park. Refreshments will be provided to participants. Awards ceremony will begin immediately after the last finisher completes the race.*Roads inside the park are closed to vehicile traffic from
7:15 - 10:00a.m. Please do not have spectators arrive at the park during this time, as the gates are still closed, and arriving spectator vehicles can tie up the park entrance. *Athletes and spectators arriving prior to 7:15 pay no park admission, but spectators and family arriving later in the day will be charged the park entrance fee.
