About This Activity

This is a flat course starting and finishing at 185 S. Brunswick St., Jesup GA 31546. This is an Easter Egg Run so be prepared to get covered in safe, washable, colored powder while raising money to help kids with serious illnesess. Every runner who registers by March 15, 2014, will receive a white t-shirt with logo, sunglasses, a souvenir egg filled with colored powder, and a security bracelet that provides each runner access to discounts at select stores around Jesup and Wayne County. Registration after March 15th does not guarantee you a t-shirt. There is a 1 Mile Bunny Hop for youner children and those who cannot walk a 5K, and those entered will receive a plastic egg with surprises inside. During the 5K, the Youth Ministry at First Baptist Church will host a free, chaperoned Easter Carnival for children 10 and under with carnival games, a blow-up slide and bounce house. There is no charge for the carnival; it is our gift to the parents participating in the run.

Organizers of the run have negotiated with The Days Inn in Jesup to provide a discount rate of $49.99 per night for runners coming from out of town. The hotel will host a Meet and Greet with food provided from 5:00 - 7:00 for all runners registered at the hotel on Friday night. On Saturday evening our 50's themed drive-in theatre will provide runners and their families with entertainment a double feature of two first-run movies at a discounted rate of $6 per person with both movies included. All proceeds from The Easter Egg Run will be donated to Children's Miracle Network in an effort to raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals who treat children with severe illness.

Event schedule and times

Registration will begin at 7:30AM. The 1 Mile will begin at 8:30AM and 5K will begin at 9AM. During the 5K, the younger children (10 & under) will be given an opportunity to participate in supervised carnival games and activities provided the Youth Ministry of First Baptist Church.
