The Event

DESIGNATED THE 2013 USATF-NJ MEN'S and WOMEN'S OPEN 10K CHAMPIONSHIP RACE! A 10,000 meter race for $15,000 in prize money. The race provides a unique urban setting for both recreational and elite professional runners. The 10K course, run on local roads and the Hudson River Walkway, is fast and flat with spectacular views of the New York City skyline.

Definition of an AMERICAN ELITE runner

AMERICAN ELITE: Competing for American Elite Prize Money and also eligible for Elite Prize Money. MUST be an American Citizen. Not eligible for AGE GROUP awards or random prizes.* Drug Testing of Elite prize money winners will be conducted on site at the event.Approximate 10K times: Men: Under 32:00 minutes Women: Under 37:00 minutes

NON-ELITE: Eligible for age group awards & prizes

Non-Elite eligible for age group awards & raffle prizes. This category is for all Open and Masters runners competing in age group categories. Top 3 (M&F) Age Group awards in 5-year increments (19 & under to 85 & over). Directions from Manhattan

Take the Holland Tunnel. Upon exiting in Jersey City, make the first right at the Hess service station. Make right onto 18th St. which becomes Washington Boulevard. Proceed south. At Newport Parkway follow race parking signs.

From New Jersey

New Jersey Turnpike extension (from NJT North /South or Rt. 78 East) to just past Exit 14C. After coming down the ramp at the end of the Turnpike Extension, make right at traffic light onto Jersey Ave. Bear left onto 11th Street Viaduct which becomes Newport Parkway. At bottom of bridge, follow Race Parking signs. Garage entrance is on your right.

Path Trains

Take the PATH train marked Journal Square or Newark. At 33rd St./Herald Square, at 23rd St., 14th St., 9th St., or Christopher St. to Newport station. Turn left walk to River Dr. South and Town Square.


The parking garage is located at 561 Washington Blvd. Your BIB number is your free parking pass.

Online Registration Closes on April 29. Race Day Registration begins at 7:00 A.M. Please arrive early to ensure your spot in the race.


Early Bird $27 by 4/3; $30 by 4/25 (USATF $3 discount applied to registrations by 4/25); $35 after 4/25 and on race day.
