About This Activity

Large (actual) gator-head trophies will be given to the M/F overall, masters and grand masters divisions . Smaller gator-head trophies will be given to five-year age group winners, both male and female, ages 10-14 through 74-79.  The champions will be invited to ride in the back of a pick-up truck, adorned in Gator Run banners, during the Hell Hole Swamp Festival parade which immediately follows the Award Ceremony.  The champions will be given Mardi Gras style beads to toss to the crowd during the parade.  Laissez les bon temps roulez!

T-Shirts will be given to each registrant applying before Monday, May 2nd date, t-shirts are not guaranteed.  Medallions will be given to each of the first 200 finishers. Unique art will be used for the t-shirts and medallions that result from a middle-school art competition that will be judged by attendees at the Cooper River Bridge Run Expo.

A poem will be composed by the Hell Hole Poet Laureate, who doubles as the Race Director, while the runners are on the course.

These taxidermied gator heads are purchased from a gator farm in Florida, which would toss them onto a trash heap. Instead, your gator's head can live in infamy in your trophy case. Their bases are planks from Charleston Heart Pine.

Special team competitions (and registration fees) are available for both school and corporate groups.
