About This Activity
Come out to Mason Park in Irvine on Sunday, April 6th, 2014 to support two wonderful causes and have a great time doing it. The all day event will feature a 5K Run, Team Olympic Challenge, and fun family activities. All proceeds will support Infinite Hero and The Special Olympics of Southern California. You can come out for any part or all of the events!
Get your morning started with an energetic 5K Run through Mason Park (walkers welcome too!). Runners will be given a bib, T-Shirt, water, and light snacks. Runners times will be posted here by Wednesday, April 9th. All those who run in the 5K can join in the family activities that go on throughout the day for free!
Does your team have what it takes to make it through our obstacle course and win awesome prizes? Your teams strength, agility, and speed will be tested across six stations leading to a final show down for the top two teams to see who takes home the gold (actually sweet prizes from Oakley)! Teams must have a minimum of 5 players and can have a maximum of 10. There is a limit of 12 teams, sign-up now! First, second, and third place will receive prizes and each member of the team will get a prize. All those who register for team Olympics can run in the 5K and take part in the family activities that go on throughout the day for free! Team members can sign-up individually or one member can register the entire team.
Bring your family out to enjoy fun activity stations, food & music! There will be a photo booth, a real NASCAR car to take pictures in, face painting, individual challenges with great prizes, raffles, games, food trucks, froyo, Olympians, and much more!
CHALLENGE FOR CHARITY
Challenge for Charity, UC Irvine gives us the opportunity to represent The Paul Merage School of Business in the community by aligning itself externally with three philanthropies: Special Olympics, Junior Achievement, and OneOC. Internally, Challenge for Charity looks to become the guiding force in the effort to develop a close-knit family atmosphere/culture that needs to exist at a small school like ours. We look to involve the entire community (students, administration, faculty) in our efforts to raise money for charity and perform philanthropy. www.ucirvinec4c.org
