You get a Donut! ...and ....You get a Donut! .....and ...You get a Donut!.. and ....You get a Donut! Yes! That's Right Folks! Everyone gets DONUTS!
What are you waiting for? Come join us for the most delicious 5k event in Orange County! Lace up and get your Donut Game on whether you want to run, jog or skip through the course. Show your love of donuts with friends and family on this flat, scenic course. No need to worry about treats, we got plenty on the course and even more at the finish. This is a non competitive event but prizes and awards will be given for best costumes and most ambitious eaters!

All participants will receive an Awesome "Great Donut Run" Shirt, a Sparkly Finishers Medal and of course....Donuts!....Donuts!.....Donuts!
Donut Run 5k: All participants can carb up at the Donut Hole Zone near the half way point where delicious donut holes will be passed out by our Donuteer Team!
Strollers are allowed on the course and we ask that you line up towards the back of the race field when the run starts. The participant pushing the stroller can share their donut hole or donut with the child in the stroller. If the child or children in the stroller wants their own donut hole and donuts, they will have to register to get a bib and they will also get a medal and tshirt. Kids in strollers riding the 5k who want their own bib etc, can sign up for the kids dash discounted price.
Kids Donut Dash distances vary depending on the age of the participants.
Here is the breakdown:
3 yr and under: 50 yards Start time: 9:30
4-6 yr olds: 100 yards Start time: 9:35
7-9 yr olds: 1/4 mile Start time: 9:40
10-13 olds: 1/2 mile Start time: 9:45
Each kids race is staged on a course that goes out and back. Kids can turn around at anytime without penalty. Staff will be provided along the route to help direct the kids. Parents who register their kids and want to run with them may do so without registering themselves. We request only one parent per child. so there's room for all registered participants. Parents who are not registered for the 5k or kids run that want to run with their kids will not be eligible for a shirt, medal or donut.
5k Donut Challenge: Participants will enter the Donut Challenge Zone after eating their donut holes and be handed 2 more donuts to devour BEFORE they glaze a trail back to the finish. Lot's of water will be available!
Kids Donut Dash: All participants will get to personally pick out their donut to munch on at the finish from a huge variety from our Donuteer Team. Sprinkes, Powdered, Chocolate Oh MY!
Note: No "to go" orders on this course What*?! We can't take them with us.... you ask? Nope. In the spirit of being a fun run, there's no penalty for not finishing any donuts except a healthy rousing from your donut peers. We kindly ask that you only eat in the donut zones where there's plenty of water to wash them down! We also want to capture all your best donut eating tactics and award the most ambitious eaters! Game on Donut Lovers!
Parking: Parking at Irvine Valley College is $5. You can pay for and pick up a parking pass at Packet Pick Up on Saturday, May 14. You can also pay on race day but please arrive early. With hundreds of Donut Runners coming on race day, please have exact change ready and load as many Donut Lovers (legally) into your car to save some cash!
Packet Pick up: You can pick up your race bib and tshirts from 11 am to 4pm on Saturday May 14, 2016 at Road Runner Sports located at 1835 Newport Blvd, Costa Mesa, CA 92627. If you can't attend, you can have a friends or family get your packet by giving them copy of your ID and written permission. You can also pick up on race morning between 6:45 and 7:30 but lines may be long. Arrive early!

Refunds: I'm sorry but no refunds will be given. Race will take place rain or shine.
Pets: Friendly Pets are allowed and must be leashed at all times and accompanied by a Donut Run /Walk participant. One pet per participant. Please use a leash of 5 ft or less, for the safety of all pets. We also ask that you line up towards the back of the pack at the start and keep to the side of the race field on the course. Our Donuteers will try and bring your Dunkin Munchkin to you at the first table in the Donut Zones so you and your pet do-nut get smuushed. The same will apply if you're entered in the Challenge.
Urban Health Alliance, Race for the Environment is dedicated to providing the public with awareness, education, prevention, practical application, and insightful remedies in order to protect the general public and their families against environmental hazards that may exist within their homes as well as in the community that we live. Information and assistance will be provided to educate and protect the public against environmental hazards including, but not limited to lead, asbestos, mold, pesticides, air quality, water quality, land quality, household, school, day care facility, ball fields, and playground issues. Our goal is to protect children from environmental hazards and provide community action for a healthy environment.
Run 4 Recovery is a non profit organization that raises money by staging multiple running events throughout the year to bring awareness, prevention and recovery programs to people in the community battling alcohol and drug addiction. Run 4 Recovery helps fund rehab programs for those wishing to get into treatment but can't afford it. They also assist individuals financially in securing housing in sober living facilities.
