About This Activity

Join us in running, jogging, walking, and enjoying the after race festivities of food, games, inflatables, music, and more.

Join hundreds of others on the Northshore to race for the Freedom of thousands of men, women, and children held in captivity in Human Trafficking in our area and all across the nation. Race for Freedom raises awareness of Human Trafficking and raises funds to support the Hope House of Louisiana where women are sent for restoration after coming out of a life of captivity.  Be a part of their freedom by racing on September 26th 2015.

RACE FEE: 1 Mile Fun Run: Early Bird Registration $10 or $15 after September 1st

5K Early Bird Registration$20 or $25 after September 1st.

 EVENT INFORMATION: Race for Freedom benefits two local organizations, Hope House and Free NOLA, that offers help and hope to victims of Human Trafficking. Come join the fun with walking, jogging, running, live music, food, games for everyone, and more along with the opportunity to learn more about these 2 organizations and many others and how you can get involved.

• New Orleans is a significant source, transit and destination location for human trafficking.
• Louisiana is ranked number 46 out of 50 for child homelessness at well over 200,000; putting our youngest children at risk for trafficking.
• New Orleans is in the top 20-cities listed as the worst for human trafficking.
• The age of the youngest confirmed sex trafficking victim in our area is 6 years old.
• A partner organization, Rescue & Restore, has identified 63 victims in Louisiana.
