5k Wet & Wild Fun Run
Sat, May 16, 2015
Huntington Beach, CA
Running-5K - Individual Age group/open
About This Activity
It is estimated that 1% of the world’s population has some level of autism, yet programs and opportunities for this population are limited. Currently, on a national level, there has been a rise in autism awareness. But what are we doing at a local level for these individuals? The Eye Catcher Foundation is an advocate for children with autism, as well as their families who struggle daily to manage the needs of their children.
The 5K Wet & Wild Fun Run is a non-competitive run/walk, with a couple of obstacles, held entirely on the beach. Shoes are optional, but fun is mandatory! The race is a 5K loop providing you with a view of the ocean and a place to soak your feet after the race. Special guest, NFL future hall of famer, Tony Gonzalez will also be there to cheer you on! Be sure to stay for the after party, which will include live entertainment, food, & games. Space is limited, so register early to secure your spot.
