About This Activity
Amigos de Houston! Join us for the 2nd annual Dia de los Muertos Fun Run(5K) – a hauntingly beautiful run through the historic 6th ward Glenwood Cemetery!! Invite your sugar skull friends and family to this joyful celebration! Costume contest, face painting and tasty beverages for adults and kids at the finish line celebration and festival!
Event details and schedule
Open to all ages, the 5k fun run kicks off with a festive mariachi band send off in front of MECA (Multicultural Educational Center for the Arts) and winds through historic Glenwood Cemetery ending at the Dow Elementary Park behind MECA. All registrants receive a commemorative Día de Los Muertos t-shirt featuring the NEW 2015 design. Post race celebration features vendor booths, crafts, face painting, sugar skulls and fun filled activities for adults and children!
