About This Activity

Join us on the Silver Comet Hiram Trailhead, 377 Seaboard Ave, Hiram GA 30141 for the Hands of Hope 5K and Fun Run.  Walkers and strollers are welcome.  An out and back course on the paved trail.

Benefits: Giving back to the community is the driving force behind the Hands of Hope 5K.  All proceeds from the run will be donated to Hands of Hope, a local community service project that offers hope and help to families in the Paulding, Cobb and Douglas communities. From yard work to light carpentry, Hands of Hope provides home maintenance help for those who are physically or financially unable!

 Awards:  Awards will be presented to Overall Male/Female and top 3 finishers in male/female age groups 17 and under, 18-24, 25-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over. 

Registration:  Registration is $20 prior to 9/21/2014, $25 afterwards until 9/30/2014 and $30 on race day. Early packet pickup, Pasta Dinner and registration will be Friday 10/3/14 at Hope Church, 1970 Charles Hardy Pkwy, Hiram GA 30141 from 5PM to 8PM.  The Pasta dinner is an additional $8 per plate.  Race day packet pickup and registration will begin at 7AM.  Checks should be made out to Hands Of Hope.

 Goodies:  There is a pasta dinner at Early Packet Pickup for $8 a plate.  All pre-registered participants will be guaranteed a shirt if registered by 9/21 and as supply lasts after that date and on race day.  There will be plenty of post race refreshments (fruit, fluids, and other munchies).

Timing and Results: Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com, www.runningintheusa.com and www.coolrunning.com.

Series Affiliation: The race is on the 2014 Black Bag Race Series.

Early packet pickup: Friday 10/3/14 at Hope Church, 1970 Charles Hardy Pkwy, Hiram GA 30141 from 5PM to 8PM.

Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup: Begins at 7AM

5K: Starts at 8AM

Fun Run: After the 5K is complete.

Awards Presentation: After the fun run.
