About This Activity
The Medina County Coalition Against Human Trafficking (MCCAHT) is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual NATE VERMOTE RUN TO FREEDOM 5K/WALKWith Mike Pistarino as Special Guest Speaker on Saturday, September 10th, 2016 at Hinckley Reservation (Spillway parking on Bellus Rd.) The event is open to both runners and walkers of all ages.
Two recent Brunswick High School Graduates, Kurtie Tolley and Nate Vermote were instrumental in starting the annual event after learning about Human Trafficking. The race was renamed in honor of Nate who lost his life unexpectedly shortly after last year’s event. The young men came up to the Coalition with the idea for the 5K after learning about the extent of the human trafficking problem and were involved with the planning and coordination of the inaugural 2015 event.
This race supports the MCCAHT and the mission to raise awareness and educate the Medina community about Human Trafficking as well as creating a network of local agencies to respond and help Human Trafficking victims.
All proceeds will help raise awareness and end human trafficking.
