1st Annual 5K for Koinonia Information-

Race Day- May 23, 2015. Come for the day or stay for the weekend! Near or Far.. YOU can participate!

Registration- 8:00- 9:30 am Warm-Up- 10:00am Race Time- 10:30am

Cost:  $40.00 Adults, $10.00 Ages 5-12, Free Ages 4 and under- Includes Race & Commemorative T-Shirt

Scandinavian Brunch- $10.00, Free Ages 4 and under

Celebration BBQ- $15.00, Free Ages 4 and under- Includes, BBQ, Campfire & Evensong

In addition to the race/brunch/bbq- you can register to stay all weekend! Call Koinonia to reserve your room, campsite or building. Saturday will include a Scandinavian Brunch, 5K, Celebratory BBQ , Campfire, S’Mores & Evensong. Sunday will be a special day to celebrate the life & legacy of John Asdal. All weekend, enjoy boating, fishing, hiking, relaxing and more!

Celebrating 51 years, Koinonia is located in the Catskill Mountains of New York and situated on 1,200 acres of forest. We have numerous facilities that offer opportunities for our guests to be surrounded by God’s creation. Koinonia (Koin-ah-NEE-Yah) is the Greek word meaning community.

Benefits of Fundraising, Donating or being a Sponsor-


Koinonia relies heavily on its’ donors. Usage fees do not cover all costs related to daily operations. Gifts to Koinonia help to provide scholarships to all those in need of support for Retreats, Vacations and Summer Camp. Gifts also support all costs associated with running the ministry of Koinonia, launching a -Summer Camp 2015 pilot program, administrative costs, facilities, and programs.

8pm- Local Tap & Table- Bring your favorite local cheese, wine, dessert, beer and other goodies to share

9pm- Orientation


7:30- 8:30- Continental Breakfast

8:00-9:30 - 5K Registration

10:00- Warm- Up

10:30- Race Time

12:00-1:00- Scandinavian Style Brunch

4:00-5:00- Happy Hour - Rafters by the Lake

5:00- The Pig Reveal- Rafters by the Lake

5:30-7:30- BBQ, Ice Cream Social & Sing-A-Long- Rafters by the Lake

7:30-8:30- Bonfire on the Beach

9:00 Evensong
