About This Activity

Scofield State Park will be hosting the annual ice fishing tournament on January 2nd.

Only 200 participants allowed.  Pre-registration is required.  There will be no day of registrations allowed.

Prizes will be given for the 5 largest Rainbow Trout caught as well as the most "Utah Chub" caught and brought to the Ranger Tent.  Garbage sacks are available at the ranger weigh in tent for carrying chubs.

Check-In: Not required as all participants have pre-registered.

Park Rangers will be available for any assistance Saturday morning NO EARLIER THAN 6:00AM – 7:00AM at the Madsen Bay boat ramp parking lot.

• Each participant’s top trout's measurement (length) will be totaled to determine winners.
• Awards will also be given for first, second, third, fourth and fifth place participants rainbow trout.
• All rules of the 2015-2016 fishing proclamation will be followed. You must have a valid Utah fishing license.
• Courtesy, sportsmanship, and conservation must be displayed at all times.
• The possession limit is four fish.
• Only one fish per person per event will be entered.
• Fish length will be measured to determine the biggest fish; ties will be decided by weight.
• Park/Wildlife staff will measure and weigh fish at the official weigh-in station. Their decision will be final and not disputed.
• The tournament starts at 7:00AM and ends @ 2:00PM

• No tournament anglers will be allowed to enter fish before 7:00AM or after 2:00PM.
• The tournament will be started with a sound producing device.
• Fish can be checked anytime during the tournament hours.
• Results will be posted as they come in.
• State Parks reserves the right to test the top three fish to verify the time caught.
• Any cheating or violation of rules will result in disqualification.
• Properly registered OHV’s and snowmobiles are allowed.
• REFUNDS: There will be no refunds issued. Registrations are non-transferable.
