About This Activity
The Nutmeg Marathon and Half Marathon will be held at the beautiful Goodwin Golf Course Park in Hartford. Goodwin Golf Course is at 1130 Maple Avenue, Hartford, CT 05114. We will meet at their North side parking lot and run around the golf course. This is a paved flat course except at the very start & finish where you will run downhill for about a quarter of a mile, then toward the finish you will run uphill for about a quarter of a mile.
This is a great marathon series for those that are tired of the super marathons with thousands of people. Our races only hold 300 people each and are held in beautiful garden parks. This is a very nice easy paced race that is also close to your parked vehicle for easy access to your belongings. Our staff will cheer you on by name! Every runner is treated like an Elite athlete! Run with Savage Racing, Inc. in our New England Challenge Series for your Boston Qualifying also. No stress, No pressure, No crowds! Just a great Spring time race.

This race will be held at Goodwin Park which is a large city golf course park, on Maple Street, near the southern city limit of Hartford. We will park on the North end of the parking lot (North of golfing building). This course is about 80 miles from Warwick, R.I. There is a golf course in the interior of the park and golf cart paths do cross our running path which is asphalt except for about 1/2 mile of dirt (see map). Please give golf carts the right-of-way.
Marathoners will run 12 laps around the golf course (12 x 2.13 miles) plus a .64 miles loop (which we will do at the start). Half Marathoners will run 6 laps around the golf course (6 x 2.13) plus a .32 mile loop at the start. There is one aid station at the start/finish where you will cross the chip timing mat. We will be set up about 5am for registrations.
